Am 6. Dezember hält Prof. Dr. Brian Cummings (Sussex) auf Einladung des SFB 573 einen Vortrag zum Thema:
"Shakespeare and the Inquisition".
Kommentar von Prof. Cummings: "One of the very few surviving copies of Shakespeare with any markings in it belonged in the seventeenth century to the Jesuit mission in Valladolid. What do the markings tell us: about Shakespeare in Europe; about the English Jesuits in Spain; or about the Catholic reception of Shakespeare’s plays, in the light of the recent interest in the idea of a ‘Catholic Shakespeare’?"
