Auf Einladung des SFB 573 "Pluralisierung und Autorität" hält der an der Universität Princeton lehrende Historiker Jonathan Israel in München einen Vortrag zum Thema"Unitarians and the Birth of Modernity: Socinianism as an Ally of the Radical Enlightenment (1650-1800)"
Der britische Historiker Jonathan Israel ist zur Zeit Professor für Modern European History am Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton. Bekanntheit erlangten in jüngster Zeit insbesondere seine Studien zum Radical Enlightenment: Philosophy and the Making of Modernity, 1650-1750 (2001) sowie Enlightenment Contested: Philosophy, Modernity, and the Emancipation of Man 1670-1752 (2006).
